‘Je Suis Couturier’ – An Exhibition Celebrating The Life And Work Of Azzedine Alaïa
Azzedine Alaïa is a fashion legend, and his sudden passing in November devastated the industry, but now more than ever his legacy is being celebrated. The exhibition “Je Suis Couturier” was opened on Sunday by Christoph Van Weyhe, Carla Sozzani and the Association Azzedine Alaïa, with a crowd of fashion friends and family of the late Mr Alaia. 41 dresses are on display in the Marais head quarters, and this is just the first of many things happening at the Association Azzedine Alaïa, the next being a book shop opening in April. We couldn’t get enough of the exhibition via social media, thanks to our Editrix-In-Chief’s instastory digital tour- if it looks that incredible on a small screen we can only imagine how spectacular it is in the flesh. Je Suis Couturier, curated by Olivier Saillard runs until June 10th, 11am – 7pm every day at the Association Azzedine Alaïa, 18 rue de la Verriere, Paris 4th.
