A Look Inside Kent & Curwen’s Very First London Store

Covent Garden’s Floral Street has a brand new resident in the form of Kent & Curwen’s very first London outpost. Lucky Floral Street! The Brit heritage brand, helmed by Daniel Kearns and one David Beckham have set up shop at Number 12, transforming the Victorian building which was, once upon a time, the Adelphi School for Boys into a sleek shopping destination for the man about town – combining the site’s history with a wholly more modern outlook. Think: raw steel, reclaimed wood, and green and white tile as a nod to Dave’s beloved East End Pie and Mash shops.

“The intention was to suggest the heritage of the building as well as the brand, highlighting our influences and inspirations, without being in any way pastiche” says Daniel. “We have created a space that feels traditional yet modern, luxurious yet grounded – it matches the product which follows the same ethos.”

Mr Beckham concurred: “Daniel and I have been searching for the perfect location for some time and believe we’ve found it on Floral Street. A long time, iconic London shopping destination, Floral street is at the heart of this great city and we’re excited for Kent & Curwen to be at the forefront of it.”

Kent & Curwen is open now at 12 Floral Street, London
