Pointillism is a technique of painting, developed by George Seurat and Paul Signac in the late nineteenth century. It involved the forming of an image through the application of small, distinct dots of pure colour. By the looks of his A/W14 collection for Dior Homme, Kris Van Assche has taken a leaf out of the pointillist’s book – his shoes were covered in small white dots. I bet Seurat and Signac would have loved them.
