Did somebody say ‘modern day man’? Oh yes, here they come, strutting down Polo Ralph Lauren’s runway. This season for the first time Ralph decided to give the Polo line a show of it’s own right. So what exactly is a ‘modern man’ you say? Well if this collection isn’t explanation enough, urban dictionary states – “A concept focusing on the idea that modern men are different to men of previous ‘ages’. For example more care is taken with appearance and activities. Rugby lad culture is rejected.” Rugby may be out of the window, but with sportswear that good it would be a waste not to go for say, a casual jog, maybe even a spot of yoga. They are modern men after all and you wouldn’t want to ruin that impeccable outfit with rugby anyway. Not only sportswear though, Ralph has been kind enough to offer a luxury look for every occasion including a snug pant in every fabric, just the right amount of snug to exhibit the goods (from the jogging that is). What a fine tuned specimen, it’s only right they have their own catwalk to show it off.
