Yoox Launch Their Own Line of Wardrobe Classics


When someone describes a dress as “inspired by artificial intelligence”, there’s a lot that instantly comes to mind. Some silver metallics covered in reflective strips, perhaps even a small built-in screen that’s telling you all about the weather. It’s a funny thing, our perception of the future. But leave it to Yoox to change all of that. The Italian e-tailer that’s partnered up in 2015 with Net-A-Porter in creating the biggest online fashion shopping group has since turned from an outlet destination into a full lifestyle destination. And now they’re even launching 8 by Yoox, their own brand of wardrobe classics with a smart twist.

The thought behind this new launch came from the line of information directed from their online customers. In a pretty futuristic way of approaching design, Yoox has taken cues from AI which reviewed content across digital platforms and took into consideration style forecasting in order to create a ready-to-wear, ready-to-sell collection of clothes and accessories for both guys and girls. And so it did – all of your favourite classics are here. A leather trench and a navy corduroy suit with a pair of knee-length burgundy boots for her; a classic knit and the best herringbone coat we’ve seen in a while for him. This is a traditional wardrobe revisited, worth making space for. So don’t mind if we do.
