Calvin Klein Jeans’ latest collection is based on motorbikes. Or, rather, the people who ride them. Which means plenty of leather, moto-jackets, big old boots. According to CK insiders (aka the press release), it is designed to channel their 1991 advertising campaign that starred moto-babe Carré Otis, a woman who was, according to Google, number 11 on The 25 Hottest Harley-Riding Celebrity Women. Vroom vroom. That said, we would not recommend actually wearing this whilst riding a motorbike. Such skin exposure could lead to terrible accident. But who actually wants to ride one of those things? They are noisy, smelly machines. Instead, similar effect can be achieved by perching yourself elegantly on various parked motorcycles in your local neighbourhood. The collection, entitled “Calvin Klein Jeans Rebel Edge Limited Edition” is made in collaboration with e-tailers mytheresa.com and is available there, right now. And, for those of you who prefer a physical shopping experience, it can be purchased in Calvin Klein Jeans stores globally from September 1st.
