Brioni And The RCA Celebrate Ten Year Partnership

More fantastic news from Ten Towers! This time we are thrilled to report that Brioni, dressers of the world’s classiest gents since 1945, have announced they will be completing a full decade of innovation and enterprise with the Royal College of Art. As far as creative partnerships go, this one is right up there with Warhol & Basquiat, McCartney & Lennon, Spielberg & Williams…I could go on. With partnerships like this, it’s no surprise that the RCA have held the top spot for a number of years as the world’s leading university of art and design, and this only looks set to continue following this weeks’ announcement. To mark this special achievement, Brioni will be hosting a design competition centred on the realisation of a timeless classic: the tuxedo, a staple of Brioni’s inspiring work over the past 70 years. Each RCA student will have the opportunity to present their own design, and a lucky trio will then be selected to spend a week of intense training at the nerve centre of the whole operation, the Brioni Scuola di Alta Sartoria itself in Penne, Italy. I’m already envisioning a Kill Bill esque training scene, only with more fabric and less punching through wood. Even I, with my puny BA in Anthropology, am incredibly envious of all those RCA high fliers, although who’s to say I won’t slip a design of my own in there…
