Diesel’s #Makelovenotwalls Campaign

First on the agenda – Happy Valentines Day, or for those against the corporate candy heart holiday… Happy Tuesday. Next up, Diesel launched their new #makelovenotwalls campaign today, which is all about love and acceptance and resisting the hate that seems to sadly be everywhere these days. The images and short film were shot/directed by long time brand collaborator David LaChapelle. In a world post-Tr*mp and Brexit it’s nice to see brands stepping up to the plate and showing where they stand on important topics.“At Diesel, we have a strong position against hate and more than ever we want the world to know that,” explains Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti. “Love and togetherness is crucial in creating a society we all want to live in, and the future we all deserve.” The cast of the campaign is a colourful and fun group of artists, Olympic athletes, drag queens and dancers, many of whom are part of the LGBT community. The plot of the video is the breaking down of the wall with the power of love, which involves a lot of dancing and jumping through barbed wire, which then leads to a burning man style wedding in the dessert. It seems denim might have been the dress code, but what else would you expect from a Diesel wedding day? Whether or not you are happily in love this Valentines hopefully the #makelovenotwalls campaign brings a little more love into your life. You can watch the magical campaign film here.
