Dunhill Reveal Their 2018 Holiday Campaign By Fredrikson Stallard
Ho, ho, ho! Is it that time of the year already? Even though Last Christmas isn’t coming out of every working stereo system just yet, it looks like holiday shopping time is here. With glittery, accessory-focused campaigns coming at us left, right and central, it seems like everyone is feeling very eager to get their list ticked off sooner rather than later. And who are we to say no to some retail therapy? But in the piles of glitter, the latest Dunhill holiday campaign stands out.
Imagined by London-based design studio Fredrikson Stallard, Crush features Dunhill’s starry accessories atop crinkled, metal textures that are synonymous with the work of Patrik Fredrikson & Ian Stallard. “Master craftsmanship is at the heart of how we create. This is true for Dunhill also, so it appeals to us to work alongside them. It’s about presenting works that have a dialogue with dunhill’s pieces, their audience and its surroundings,” the duo tells us about the collaboration. It’s a fresh take on the way we wish for presents, giving us a new perception on what these classic pieces stand for. As Partick & Ian explain, “the works have an urge to connect, both with their surroundings in terms of form and reflection, both inwards and outwards, and demand the immediate attention of an audience.” Attention and credit card action!
