E TAUTZ WINS BFC/GQ DESIGNER MENSWEAR FUND
Remember when Alexandra Burke won The X Factor? (Click here if you don’t.) She was thrilled. As thrilled as Patrick Grant, creative director of E. Tautz probably was when he won the BFC/GQ Menswear Fund last night. Via Twitter the designer said that he was “Very proud.” As he should be. As well as a framed certificate type thing, he’s won a £150,000 grant and a mentoring support over a 12-month period. “Patrick demonstrated unique flair, precise craftsmanship and an inherent sense of commercial awareness,” said Dylan Jones, editor of British GQ and chair of London Collections: Men. “[This] combined with the financial and mentoring support will elevate the business placing it at the forefront of the global menswear stage.” We would like to congratulate you Patrick on winning this fund, in the only way we know how to congratulate people; through the medium of Cliff Richard. So Patrick, if you will, click here.
