Gucci Launches #GucciHallucination Line Featuring Artworks By Ignasi Monreal

gucci_mainBack we zoom into the wonderland that is Alessandro Michele’s Gucci, or more specifically, Ignasi Monreal’s imagined version of it. Monreal’s digital artworks, Utopian Fantasy, for the Spring/ Summer 2018 campaign, are now being celebrated, saluted and forever remembered in a collection of nine sweatshirts and t-shirts. Titled #GucciHallucination (yes, with the hashtag), the collection is so hot right now, one of a kind, limited edition exclusive, that the t-shirts come numbered 1-200, with only 100 jumpers available. Run, fight, win! (to gucci.com). Purchases will be delivered to customers in special packaging, printed with Monreal’s work. And a horse and carriage with all the Gucci gang from the campaign; mermaids, knights and Snow Whites. We wish. To keep our Gucci-thirst at bay (and on the very off chance we don’t get our hands on those t-shirts), we will be heading to Brick Lane to stare up at, and drool over, Ignasi Monreal’s new artwork taking over East London. The work is inspired by “Rapunzel”, the German fairy tale first published in 1812 and the painting Portrait of Señora de Garay by Ignacio Zuloaga y Zabaleta. The Gucciverse is alive and all around us.
