Musician J Balvin Designs A Collection For Guess – And It’s All About 1990s Miami
Grab yourself a margarita, slap on some sunscreen and blast some new reggaeton – the summer is suddenly here, all thanks to J Balvin. The Latin Grammy award-winning musician has worked with Guess on a 42-piece collection called Vibras, after his chart-topping album. And despite our Spanish-speaking skills not being up-to-date, we know what it’s about – vibes. “Just smile and that’s what we need, all love,” the singer lauds poetically of the collection.
This positive energy clearly oozes from the clothes – it’s all about the sexy side of Miami, set sometime in the 1990s. All the colours of sunset come into play, mixed in all the unexpected way. As for the denim – it’s time to go back into our white jeans, particularly the ripped skinny kind. The logo game is still going strong, perfectly playing into the essence of 1990s sportswear, here interpreted more vividly than before. A highlight? The green and orange striped tee with Guess embroidery in the front. Right now – we’ll layer it over a turtleneck, but comes June and we’ll rock it with the perfect pair of denim shorts. Guess ones of course… Can it be summer already?
The J Balvin for Guess 42-piece capsule collection is launching on February 7th online and in Guess stores worldwide.
