Jonathan Saunders Joins DVF As Chief Creative Officer
In news that broke mere moments ago, Brit-designer (and all-round lovely man) Jonathan Saunders has been announced as the Chief Creative Officer of Diane von Furstenberg. Saunders had earlier this year announced the closure of his eponymous brand citing “personal reasons”, to which we were very sad. But now we are very happy – at DVF he’ll be in charge of the overall creative direction of the brand. How better to fill the gaping Saunders shape hole left in our lives?
“Jonathan’s extraordinary passion for colors and prints, his effortless designs, and his desire to make women feel beautiful make him the perfect creative force to lead DVF into the future,” said Diane von Furstenberg, this morning. “I could not have found a cooler, more intelligent designer and I cannot wait to watch him shine as our chief creative officer.”
“The spirit with which this brand was founded is incredibly relevant today. I am thrilled to be part of its next chapter,” Jonathan added. “Diane has a unique ability to deeply connect with women and I am excited to be working with Paolo on the future of the brand.”
