Louis Vuitton To Show Their Next Cruise Show In Japan
Where to cruise next? Not in the sense of, well, loitering in a public toilet or in a lay-by off the M25, but cruising in the traditional sense of, well, getting on a big boat and travelling to far-off lands. Or, in this case, plane. Because we have fabulous news from the house of Louis Vuitton this morning – we’re off to Japan! Yes, they will hold their Cruise 2018 (whaaat – that sounds so futuristic) show there this season on Sunday 4th May. We don’t know exactly where yet (probably somewhere brutal/modern/fabulous knowing Mr Ghesquiere) but having opened their first show in Tokyo in 1978, chances are that might be where they return. LV has always had strong ties with Japan, especially through their collaborations with the country’s contemporary artists – Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, Rei Kawakubo and today Hiroshi Fujiwara. It’s going to be a celebration of the country, apparently. Much excitement!
