Olivier Rousteing Launches His Nike:Lab Collection In Paris

Look, Olivier Rousteing with a large golden ball. A regular modern day Midas. Because, if Mr Rousteing was to be any precious metal, it would be gold. Gold is shiny, expensive, fabulous and most importantly, flawless. And that’s why gold is the colour that adorns his Nike:Lab collaboration, inspired by this thing called “football”. Which we will avoid because we don’t know much about that apart from the fact it’s a) a sport b) there’s a ball involved. Apparently Paris is hosting some tournament this year. Who knows. Who cares. It’s not important. Because whilst the collection was inspired by football, it doesn’t mean you have to actually play football in it. It would look just as nice doing such things as sitting around at home, eating, walking and possibly, for the braver amongst us, going to a nightclub establishment. Mr Rousteing and Nike:Lab celebrated by throwing a soiree at The Citè Internationale Universitaire de Paris, “redesigned as a modern football-inspired clubhouse adorned with black and gold flags and a gold soccer ball centre piece,” according to the press release. Such attendees included Chris Brown, Lily Allen, Woodkid, Cindy Bruna, Ysaunny Britton, Bhumika Arora and, unfortunately, not us. Thank god then, for the pictures above. If you put your eyes right on the screen, it’s almost like you are there (disclaimer: this could make you go blind).

The NikeLab x Olivier Rousteing: Football Nouveau collection are available beginning June 2 below…
