THE CFDA AWARDS: MOST FABULOUS IN COLOUR
“She comes in colours everywhere, she combs her hair, she’s like a rainbow. Coming colours in the air. Oh, everywhere. She comes in colours.” La la la lala lala la la. And so most fabulous in colour starts with Adriana Lima, as yet uncredited but it looks like Givenchy so we’ll say it’s Givenchy, is working that sheerness, and notice the lacy shorts she has underneath peeking through. Racy. Joan Smalls is as ever in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci and is as ever looking fierce. Erin Wasson is giving us warrior woman in Alexander Wang, and for some reason reminds of Daenerys Targaryen, whereas Nicole Ritchie is giving me Goldfinger in Marc Jacobs. Diane von Furstenberg we will assume is wearing Diane von Furstenberg and what appears to be a pair of black devil horns which Antony’s says is a star. She is also making a successful case for the return of the fishnet tight. Donna Karan is working that Donna Karan and looks the epitome of sexy zen which is not an easy thing to pull off. Sofia Vergara is vamping it up as ever, in green Herve L Leroux. Everytime I look at her I can hear her cackling in my head and then have to go on Youtube to find a video of her cackling before I start backing to myself like a mad woman. She sounds insane. Anna Wintour is a vision in blue, don’t know what, but she looks a vision, and Juliette Lewis is a vision in peach Zac Posen, which is giving me a prom vibe, and matches her skin which I’m really into at the moment. . I’m assuming it is Zac Posen as there was a picture of both of them together. And then we have Betsey and Lulu Johnson who are on a whole other level of fabulosity for which there are simply no words.
