This season, Donatella says, the Versace woman is softer. She smothered her catwalk with a million orchids (okay, 25,000, but who’s counting?). And tangled flowers in her models’ hair too. Romantic? Not chez Donny. She hates the word. But she does like it soft, in drapEy chiffons and citrus colours and lots of touchy-feely fils coupé. This was definitely a delicate side to both Donatella and Versace. It was seductive, rather than shag you through a hedge backwards. I mean, we like both of them, but it was nice to see a softcore Versace for once. And guess what Tenners?! Couture’s begun!
