3.1 Phillip Lim: Ready-to-wear AW17

3.1 Phillip Lim goes pink. Well, the set anyway. A set that also involved some perspex boards and strappy bits that looked suspiciously bondage like. Were we be treated to some light BDSM pre/post show? No, unfortunately. Clothes themselves didn’t really go down that route either, though there was a fishnet top, which we suppose could be construed as such. A top which answered the age of dilemma of: can I have an upper body fishnet moment? To which the answer here was: yes. Instead, this was what we’ll call romantic sportswear – puffas cinched at the waist sat next to bodice-like tops, drawstring jackets next to bell-sleeved dresses and handkerchief hemlines. A little touch of organza. Fastenings that tied around the waist like sleeves. And, to return to pink, a suit in the “hot” version of the colour. Because it may not be easy, to quote Kermit the frog, being green – but at 3.1 Phillip Lim being pink looked, well, easy.
