From London to NYC to Ghana. It’s Adwoa Aboah and Juergen Teller’s third stop on what we’re calling their global Burberry tour, this time revealing Pre Fall 2018 looks. And a new bag! The Belt Bag. It’s all happening. Personally, we see this campaign as further proof Burberry looks good anywhere and everywhere. The chosen place, Accra in Ghana is Adwoa’s home town, celebrating her West African heritage. ‘With this chapter in the series I want the world to know that there are two families, both that mean the world to me – two sides to my story,” she said. “So that’s what this is – a message of love and pride to my family and the people of Ghana. I tried very hard not to be too emotional about this trip but it’s so special for everyone to see where the story started. To be in Ghana means coming home.” Working it with Adwoa is Sonny Hall, fellow British model, whom she cast as well as art directing the campaign. Girl has got the all the skills. “I met Sonny in Soho and we ended up spending the whole day chatting, drinking tea and shopping. I remember thinking, ‘this one’s special’. We just wanted to be in each other’s company. We had an instant connection.” They look good together. Casually fierce in all that graphically good Burberry. The collection is a continuation of all those hard hitting vivd pieces, still with the classic Brit sensibility cleverly intact. Adwoa and Juergen are our fearless leaders, we will follow them worldwide, with the promise of new Burberry.
