Saint Laurent’s Campaign for SS19 Celebrates The Left Bank Glory


Mess up your hair. Put a pair of see-through black tights on. Act aloof. This is the recipe for achieving that Saint Laurent by Antony Vaccarello X factor we should all collectively be striving for. And each visual interpretation coming from the brand itself is a great how-to, a sort of tutorial for the wider audience to indulge in this world and take some fabulosity away with them. It’s just about the perfect inspiration for those hungover weekends, when a mix of the make-up from last night and some rock’n’roll denim still scented with cigarette smoke does the trick. This show-and-tell of a lifestyle now continues with Saint Laurent’s new campaign. As per uzh, it’s shot by David Sims and captures a set of three of Vaccarello’s muses acting their role.

Charlotte Gainsbourg, Amber Valletta and Rebecca Leigh Longendyke model the best of SS19, with hot pants, sky-high platforms and skimpy blouses forming a sort of silhouette that’s making us night-out-envy. It’s a Left Bank storyline these women are living through, pulled through a B&W lense of Sims’ moody photography. Mysterious, sexy and just about perfectly imperfect. It’s a YSL way of life, and we’re all for it.
