Victoria, Victoria Beckham: Ready-to-Wear SS19

Victoria Beckham greeted guests at her Victoria, Victoria Beckham presentation in a tongue-in-cheek t-shirt that read “SMILE” in bold red letters, and her collection certainly left a smile on our faces. For Ten’s favourite ex-spice girl’s triumphant first season in London following her departure from showing in New York, Victoria opted to show her diffusion line collection within the gilded walls of Annabel’s in Mayfair. The clothes were as lighthearted and as elegant as VB herself and was inspired by a 1960s Italian summer spent on the Riviera.

In a colour palette of blues, cream and hints of hot Pompadour pink, burnished umber and aqua green, the collection sprang to life from the rails on which it hung. It was just as intensely shoppable as her mainline collection she showed only two days before. Alongside the contemporary yet classically wearable pieces, from monochromatic pieces to the relaxed tailoring for which Victoria is known, came a selection of pieces in perfect prints. From the updated check on the translucent wrap dress to a silky PJ suit with disegno Renaissance cherubs or the shirt and short set with a saturated Tuscan landscape scene in repeat, we wanted it all. But truth be told it’s the tie-dye that is at the top of our lists.
