Giorgio Armani’s Next Exhibition Is Dedicated to Photographer Peter Lindbergh

Everyone’s definition of what makes a home is vastly different. Is it your country? City? The roof over your head as you sleep at night? Or is it something more intimate? Fashion editorials have become homes of sorts for those wishing to escape their own. Editorials serve as fantasy lands where you can forget about today and hope for a brighter tomorrow. Peter Lindbergh played a vital role in crafting these magical escape routes, telling stories through black-and-white photography like no other. Less than six months since the photographer’s passing, Giorgio Armani will dedicate a new exhibition at Armani/ Silos in Milan to Lindbergh’s work. Aptly titled Heimat. A Sense of Belonging (Heimat translating from German to “home” or “homeland”), the exhibition will feature both published and never-before-seen works of the late photographer, each drenched in Lindbergh’s signature black-and-white hue. For those attending Milan Fashion Week this coming February, it will be a space to take a break from the hustle and bustle, escape the blinding lights of the catwalk and find a home away from home where dreams are plentiful. This is one not to be missed.

‘Heimat. A Sense of Belonging’ will be on display at the Armani/ Silos in Milan from February 22nd until August 2nd.
