Chanel’s New Sublimage Cleansing Line is A Pot of (Beauty) Gold
As Tony Hadley panically shouted back in the day: “GOLD! Always believe in your soul.” And what our soul tells us that it’s time for a cleanse. Not only our wardrobes need a bit of shedding in order for our best new self to come out. Same goes for your skin – out with the old and in with the new. Who better to turn to in these times of need than the beauty experts at Chanel. The latest addition to their gold-infused, natural-origin Sublimage line are four luxurious formulas enhancing the art of cleansing. Just because you’re washing it off doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be top notch.
The new process opens with the L’Huile-en-gel de Démaquillage which is not the title of Voltaire’s lost satire but French for the “gel-oil make-up remover.” It’s a fine, light-weight formula that first removes all traces from last night’s fun after which it transforms into a silky milk consistency perfect for a facial massage. The essence of antioxidant-intense vanilla planifolia appears as the core ingredient throughout the collection, leaving skin softer and smoother than it’s ever been. In case there’s any residue left, the L’Eau de Démaquillage is here to take it all off and, thanks to the addition of a high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, plump the skin for the day ahead. Arguably the most luxurious object in the collection is Le Savon de Soin. Way more than your ordinary soap, the shea butter base is even embellished with the floral shape. And then there’s the grand finale Les Grains de Vanille, which is exactly what it says on the tin – pardon the beautiful glass component. A facial scrub made out of vanilla bean grains cleanses, after which the jojoba microbeads remove the dead cells. Plus you’re smell like the most delicious candle ever. All that glitters might not be gold, but it definitely will be your skin after a full Chanel Sublimage cleansing treatment.
