Chanel Summer Beauty Collections Press Launch
On the way to Chanel, Will asked if there were any male journalists who dealt with the subject of female beauty products? Who knew what colour to line, for example, a blue eye with so that it popped? The correct answer would be violet, a fact later confirmed by Mary Greenwell who gave us a demonstration of the new Chanel summer colours. Though, to be honest, violet makes any eye colour pop as it is according to Mary a natural colour. There’s something very real about it. It’s the colour of the vein in a child’s eye lid. She also confirmed Will’s belief that mascara should be worn always, as there’s nothing wrong with wanting your eyes to look bigger and more mysterious. Who wants eyes that look small Will rightly asks. The colour collection by the way is inspired by the Cote D’Azur and comes in a palette of golden browns, blues and pops of vivid pinks, while the new Les Beiges compact, designed, as Will noticed, with a healthy glow in mind, features a limited edition stripy ‘glow giver’ inspired by the Breton top.
