THE LOOK: VERSACE MENSWEAR SS17

There are many advantages to shaving your head. And if, as an unashamedly lavish gentleman of luxury, you think the look should be reserved only for residents of underprivileged communities or those fighting for your country, you would be wrong. Jack and Dominic are proof of this. They’re pretty lavish, and they’re both bald. Well, not bald. But they have very little hair, on their heads at least. About a centimetre of it if that. “It makes me look neater, more streamlined” says Dominic, who just loves to look snatched. “My brain works better because there’s no hair getting in the way of important telepathic waves”. Right. Reasons we can believe in? “There’s no effort in the mornings. I get out of the shower and ‘POOF!’ I’m ready.” Poof indeed. He also saves on time and money by trimming it himself at home with ease, using his phone as a mirror to cut the back. If these don’t make you want the chop, perhaps the fact that by shaving off the majority of your hair you will be providing admirers around you with glorious pleasure. This kind of hairstyle feels extremely pleasant against a strokers palm, you see. And other than the feeling of the underbelly of a freshly born porcupine, there’s nothing else quite like it – caressing a man’s buzz cut can be a stress relieving act for both the giver and the receiver. Of course, this isn’t a look that will suit all. Not all skulls are formed in a perfect shape like the Versace SS17 show models above. Some heads are overly square. Some overly round. Some resemble a triangle, hexagon or rhombicosidodecahedron. Of course until you actually run the clippers over your head, you’ll never truly know if it will suit you or not, but the Versace man is not about fear. He is fearless. Live by the rules of Donatella and take a risk for once in your life.
