Born and raised in Rome, Italian couturier Giambattista Valli now lives and works in Paris, where he shows his Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear collections each year. Previously working at the houses of Fendi and Ungaro, Valli began his own line in 2005, his designs finding influence in his Roman roots, as well as Yves Saint Laurent’s watercolours and the films of Michelangelo Antonioni. Known for celebrating and emphasising the female form, he has earned himself a devoted following – the aptly named ‘Valli Girls’.
