With the brand now showing both its men’s and womenswear collections in Paris, one might not be blamed for forgetting that Alexander McQueen is, in fact, a British brand, born and raised in the streets of London. Director Masha Vasyukova has created a lovely short to celebrate the launch of the new Spring 2018 collection, and this here city. Staring models Willow Barrett, Benjamin Lessore and Chris Diena, the trio are dressed to the nines in what we know McQueen does best, AKA tailored jackets, a white shirt and leathers. Bringing a quintessential British brand back to where it started is always a lovely gesture, especially for those of us who call London home. I’m pretty sure I’ve been sick from a hangover on at least one of those streets featured, but don’t think about that – think about the lovely clothes. Because they really are lovely, aren’t they?
