Ten Loves: Craig Green X The Standard Hotel Unisex Robes
Dressing gown or housecoat? It’s a pressing debate that never seems to leave the Twitter stratosphere. Somehow, whatever name you use to describe the cozy item of clothing you slip into after a long day at work can decide if you’re a true Northerner, if you’re posho or if you actually might be a closeted tory. A bit daft, but quite the entertainment. Despite the constant squabble around its correct title, there’s no arguing against how brilliant these unisex robes from The Standard Hotel are, designed in partnership with one of our favourite London boys, Craig Green.
Available in all 266 rooms inside the hotel chain’s latest property in King’s Cross, (AKA the hotel where all the fashion week parties are held at), the robes feel in-tune with the fantastic offerings the designer puts on his catwalks. Each robe comes equipped with the belts and straps which have come to define the ‘Craig Green look’, now in a soft-to-touch cotton towelling and splashed in mustardy yellows, dark chocolate browns and a muted carnation pink. Before you even think about stuffing one in your suitcase after your stay at the rather swanky hotel, the robes are available to purchase from The Standard’s online store. Nab yourself one of these gems and there will be no ridiculing of what you chose to call it, it’s just that darn good.
