Pride season is shaping up to look rather different this year. There will be no parades, no street parties, no sun-kissed singalongs. Instead, pride events across the globe are moving digitally, and now for the first time, will be celebrated from the comfort of our own homes. Celebrating at all during these times feels peculiar. The global pandemic has had tremendous effects on queer people globally, both physically and mentally, and black trans people are being murdered worldwide at an alarming rate. Now more than ever brands need to be actively supporting organisations and charities that are offering vital support to LGBTQIA+ people across the globe.
Etro is a brand who is doing exactly that. To commemorate pride, the brand has released a special, limited edition Pegaso Pride Bag. Etro’s signature accessory is now adorned in the colours of the rainbow and the brand will donate 20 per cent of each sale to Casa Arcobaleno – the first shelter dedicated to those discriminated by their families for their sexual orientation or gender transition in Milan, Italy. Available in two sizes – a regular that features the Etro Paisley print and a technicoloured miniature version – both come adorned with Etro’s Pegasus motif which forms each bag’s buckle. This is a bag you can flaunt with the utmost of pride.
