Jil Sander: AW16 Menswear
Rodolfo Paglialunga picked up on a few key Milanese trends at Jil Sander: a somber colour palette, a wide shoulder, a military hue, and fur. He refracted it, as ever, through Sander’s minimalist tailoring – she made her name and fortune through a camel coat so luxurious and discreet it was entirely unidentifiable to the layman – until you clocked the price. It’s the same with Paglialunga’s emphatic but softly softly approach.
