Man Announces Line Up For Autumn Winter
Doesn’t it seem a little early to be discussing autumn/winter 2015? A resounding ‘NO’ would probably be the response from the names that have just been announced as partaking in Fashion East and Topman’s MAN show at London Collections: Men. For designers Liam Hodges, Nicomede Talavera and Rory Parnell-Mooney the race is on. Tis not the season to be jolly, but seriously knuckle down to ensure a knock-out collection is delivered in time for their joint parade of new designs in January. Whilst Hodges and Talavera will be showing their second collections through the initiative- already establishing what director of Fashion East Lulu Kennedy has described as an ability to “translate their aesthetic into great product that’s been picked up by the most prestigious International stores,” newby Parnell-Mooney comes fresh from the infamous Central Saint Martins MA. The course’s head of menswear Peter Jensen describes Mooney as “One of those students that could be a pain. I mean that in a good way, because he really believed in what he was doing.” We’re thinking a little more pain could be in order for Mooney’s customers should he opt replicate the midriff baring exits seen in his graduate collection. In fact, a certain someone in the office has whipped out his Slendertone already.
