MAN: AW16 Menswear
Everyone loves a threesome – especially with a few menswear designers in the basement of Westminster Uni. Get your minds out of the gutter: I’m talking about MAN, the fashion frolick initiated by Lulu Kennedy and Topman over a decade ago that surrendered a whole wardrobe of starry talent. Craig Green! JW Anderson! James Long! They all started here. This time round we had Nancy boys from Rory Parnell-Moody, bunchy-blazered Blitz kids from Charles Jeffrey, and a soulful and moving Swarovski crystal-embellished Grace Wales Bonner show devoted to Afrofuturism, 19th century slave music and an exploration of black spirituality. All three were winners. And we’d wear the lot come Autumn/winter 2016. Or, actually, right now.
