Armani Are Opening Their New Giorgio Armani and Armani/ Casa Boutiques Today

Bou5“Mi casa tu casa”. Or so the saying goes. It’s not usually intended as a literal offering of one’s own domicile, more an expression of generosity, but in the case of Armani (which should really be “casa mia casa tua”), it’s an invitation we’re planning on taking very literally. The casa in question is their newly renovated Sloane Street store, which will now house both their Giorgio Armani and Armani/Casa boutiques under one roof. Like peas in a pod, Armani have sussed both domestic and wardrobe-driven needs in one highly-polished new retail space. This due casa scenario is a global first for the brand, an entirely new concept with London acting as its proverbial guinea pig.

Following tonight’s opening of this twin boutique, the event will be followed by a “Giorgio’s” pop-up club night, the esteemed Milanese private members bash that will be getting its first airing outside of the Armani/Privé venue with a special rendition at legendary Mayfair haunt, Tramp. Providing the audio to this little knees up are two legendary musical acts, hip-hop trio De La Soul and UK disco pioneer DJ Harvey. Interestingly, DJ Harvey, real name Harvey Basset, once said, “You can’t understand the blues until you’ve had your heart broken and you can’t understand my music till you’ve had group sex on ecstasy”. Should be worth a listen then – and if it all gets too much, there’s always the showroom beds back at Armani/Casa.
