ATELIER VERSACE: PARIS COUTURE AUTUMN/WINTER 2012
So the fun begins, COUTURE, like the good old days, and in fact my very first ever show was the Versace safety pin couture show at the Ritz which I totally blagged my way into. Don’t do that these days but still brings the memories flooding back!!! The show was a resounding success. Fluid floaty prints, tiny slithers of chiffon trapped between two layers of plastic and fashioned together into intricately layered buckles to make a dress, each stitched to the next. Fun, inventive and very, very expensive! Frankly what all couture should always be!! A truly wonderful send off for the Ritz who are closing their doors for a total refurb! Can’t wait to take in all the changes.
