Bottega Veneta Announce Daniel Lee As New Creative Director
We love fresh meat. Very well prepared fresh meat. Bottega Veneta don’t waste time. Less than 48 hours after it was announced Creative Director Tomas Maier was stepping down after 17 years in the role, the next in line has been confirmed. Daniel Lee will take over, effective July 1st 2018. The British designer has been working at Céline as Director of Ready-to-Wear and prior to that had stints at Margiela, Balenciaga and Donna Karen. Oh and he is a Central Saint Martins graduate. A good resumé. “I’m both honored and excited to continue the legacy that has been created at Bottega Veneta over the last five decades,” said Lee. “Maintaining the ingrained codes of the House, craftsmanship, quality and sophistication, I look forward to evolving what has gone before, while contributing a new perspective and modernity.” We like it already. Bring on a new, younger Bottega.
