Brioni Announce Nina-Maria Nitsche As New Creative Director
Much excitement in the office this AM upon hearing that Brioni, who are among our very favourite purveyors of fine Italian sartorial wear, have announced that Nina-Maria Nitsche, previously of Maison Margiela, will take over as their new Creative Director. Ah-may-zing. Nitsche, who worked with Margiela for 23 years after joining the brand in 1989, eventually becoming Creative Director following the designer’s resignation in 2009, will assume her new position with immediate effect, saying, “I am honoured to collaborate with the house of Brioni. Thanks to its long sartorial history, Brioni has the potential to redefine its position as a unique luxury brand. The house’s philosophy is based on a pioneering approach to menswear. My aim is to reinforce and invigorate this longstanding tradition.” A huge congratulations from all at here at Ten.
