Burberry Pre-Spring 2018

Riccardo Tisci is officially in the Burberry building. Like, literally. We’ve had word of it. Yes, he’s over in the Burbs, leading the pack, designing and creating what we expect will be an incredible Spring/ Summer 2019 collection to show on September 17 at London Fashion Week. Until then, we have Pre-Spring to keep us at bay. Riccardo loves to play hard to get. Posting to his Instagram this afternoon, he wrote: “I wanted to celebrate the beauty, heritage and legacy that I discovered when I first arrived at Burberry. ‘B Classic’ is an edit that I’ve curated to honour the icons of the House – pieces like the trench coat, the quilted jacket, the car coat, the kilt – which sits at the heart of the SS19 pre collection designed by the fantastic Burberry design team. @burberry #bclassic🇬🇧” British flag emoji and all. Oh yes, he’s immersing himself and how we love it.  A clever curation by Tisci has resulted in a collection titled B Classic, the epitome of Burberry back in it’s beige (in the literal sense of the word) element, with that Burberry check on point, the Heritage trench, kilts and all one would associate with Buberrism. We’re giving it it’s own movement. Legends only. The campaign shows couples (or maybe BFF’s too? Whatever works) hidden in embrace. It’s all about the clothes. Riccardo is making sure we’re focused. Only 129 days until September 17. We’re obvs counting.
