Coach Collaborate With Disney On Special New Collection

When looking to celebrate pop culture, American pop culture, as Coach do, themselves a very American brand that turn 75 this year, who better to look to than Mr Walt Disney? Or, should we say, his estate, more specifically, Mickey Mouse, his most famed creation? Who represents the Ol US of A more than he? So, as the title suggests, that’s exactly what they have done, collaborating on a special Disney x Coach collection, featuring everyone’s favourite large cartoon rodent upon both their famed leather goods and ready-to-wear collections. “Mickey Mouse is one of my earliest memories of American pop – his nostalgic charm, cheekiness, individuality and inherent cool make for the ultimate American icon,” said Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers. “I’ve always seen Mickey as a playful rebel at heart and a timeless symbol of joy and creativity. That spirit reinforces the new youthful perspective we are bringing to luxury at Coach.” The collection, whether Mickey in sketched form, printed on t-shirts (as modelled so delightfully by Mr Vevers as he took his bow at his Menswear show on Monday) or bags with added Mickey ears, will launch in a special pop-up at the Coach store in Soho, as well as at Colette in Paris. Oh, and Fab. Last word goes to Josh Silverman, Disney exec (Executive Vice President, Global Licensing, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media, if you’re being picky) – “this incredible collection is sure to delight the fashion world and Disney fans alike.” Here here. Watch the special preview above…

The collection launches tomorrow at Coach Soho, New York, Colette, Paris and on
