Diesel Black Gold: SS16 Campaign

Say hello to Diesel Black Gold’s SS16 campaign, shot at the Sixth Street Viaduct in Downtown Los Angeles. It’s putting us in mind of a music video. Didn’t Chezza Cole once hoof out some dance moves here whilst sporting a questionable crop top / hareem pant situation? Did the Pussycat Dolls not show their multitasking skills in this very place by dancing / driving a jeep-cum-go kart in various states of undress ( the “Don’t Cha” video for those not well versed in the finer things in life)? Abandoned waterways make great locations for an impromptu dance routine. We presume that’s what Andreas Melbostad, Creative Director of Diesel Black Gold is referring to when he calls it an “iconic” location. Now, there are no outdoor dance break outs here – but fear not, a visual feast on for your eyeballs remains – the Karim Sadli-shot campaign starring beautiful humans Lexi Boling and Timur Muharemovic standing in the sunshine like two perfectly formed mannequins. According to Mr Press Release, they embody “the contemporary and irreverent spirit of the brand”. Which you can too – just flex your plastic and clad yourself top to toe in Diesel Black Gold. With no need to visit the back end of LA in the process.
