Ermenegildo Zegna Couture Windows Project At Harrods

What gets you out of bed in the morning? Forgetting my usual extra large latte and current double dose of Lemsip (quite a volatile combo FYI), this morning it was the unveiling of Ermenegildo Zegna’s takeover of Harrods 23 windows. Reflecting the concept of January’s A/W show- which dug into the primordial DNA of the brand, and it’s evolution at the hands of Stefano Pilati, images from space form a backdrop. Here a stride towards a more avant grade approach is presented, whilst maintaining and re-emphasising the houses well established codes. Our picks? Jackets with integrated scarves, especially amazing in the Vicuña, as well as Pilati’s first bags for the brand. Making the titillation of their unveiling a little more ooh-lala, the latter was viewable through a peep hole set up. There’s plenty more oh-lala interactivity in to be had from the 22 other windows too. Get down to Harrods today for a gander. Make that lunch break an extended one.
