Gasp! Weeks of speculation and BAM! Clare Waight Keller has been announced, just moments ago, as the brand new Artistic Director of Givenchy, replacing Riccardo Tisci who left the French house earlier this year. Givenchy announced the news that Clare, who left Chloé after her AW17 collection there in February, via an Instagram post, preceded by a picture of the house’s founder, Hubert de Givenchy and a quote “true elegance comes with a natural gesture, an attitude in simplicity.” Ouuu. It’s all we’ve heard from the house as yet – though the move will make her the second woman, alongside Maria Grazia Chiuri, to helm a major French house under the LVMH group. Girl power. Congratulations Clare from all at 10 – stay tuned for more updates…
