Gucci is currently having a French love affair, if you haven’t noticed. It began with the Pre-Fall 2018 campaign which recreated the 1968 student protests in Paris, and the French love will be continued for the Cruise 2019 show at the Promenade Des Alyscamps in Arles next week. All good things come in threes, so to finish off this epic homage, Alessandro Michele has announced that the House will show its Spring/ Summer 2019 collection in Paris on September 24th. Just a little taste of the Parisian lifestyle for Gucci because come February 2019, it will return to the Milan schedule. They love to spice up our lives. It happened like this: “When Alessandro told me of his desire to present the new collection in Paris – continuing the French-inspired narrative – I thought it was a perfect way to continue the creative homage to France,” said Marco Bizzarri, Gucci President and CEO. “We have chosen to present the show on Monday, September 24th, the transition day between Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks to avoid impacting schedules. We will then look forward to returning to Milan in February 2019.” Oui oui monsieur. Everybody loves to go to Paris.
