Louis Vuitton Creates Exclusive (Red) Trainer for World Aids Day

The non-profit organisation (RED) gets its name from being the colour of emergency. Together, with the support of several international brands, it has raised over $650 million for countries across the globe worst affected by both HIV and AIDS.

Today, it was announced that Louis Vuitton has teamed up with (RED) to support the organisation’s ongoing efforts by creating an exclusive pair of trainers. Following last year’s team-up, which saw the house make a candle in aid of the charity, Virgil Abloh has now created a new colourway of a basketball sneaker that first made an appearance at the designer’s debut collection for the house.

Coated in a sublime (RED) leather, with LV branding dotted across the surface, monogram flowers are subtle but stretch across both the upper and sole of the show. With every purchase of these kicks, $200 will be donated to the cause in an effort to help (RED) in their fight to control the detrimental impact of the disease across the world.

Louis Vuitton’s (RED) trainer launches in selected stores on December 1, on World AIDS Day.
