You Can Now Shop Re-Issued Raf Simons Staples At Matches Fashion
Raf fanboys of the world, unite and take over. Whilst any decent thing to happen last year was seemingly overshadowed by (insert global pandemic), 2020 had some pretty impressive accolades. In the world of clothes, it marked 25 years since renowned fashion titan, Raf Simons, founded his eponymous menswear label. Celebrating a quarter of a decade in the biz, Simons has launched Archive Redux: a capsule collection of select pieces which have been re-issued from the designer’s illustrious archive.
Launching on Matches Fashion – other stockists include Machine-A and Dover Street Market – the collections, specifically curated by Simons, reprises key pillars of the namesake label’s past. From the Twin Peaks-inspired swollen sweaters of AW16, to the hand-painted parkas from Simons’ AW04 collection.
“We’d been thinking about it for quite a long time, then we thought it would be interesting to do it when the brand had existed for 25 years,” says Simons in a statement. “I had a lot of reactions from young people who wanted pieces and who weren’t even born when we were making certain pieces.” Archive Redux hits the e-shelves today, but don’t wait up, these pieces will be gone quicker than you can say, “Please don’t touch my Raf…”
