Ten Tips On How To Channel Your Inner Rihanna

Because is there any point in channelling anybody else? It’s been a known fact for many years now “that Rihanna reign just won’t let up.” It’s true. Here at Ten we worship the ground Rihanna walks on. Well, just me. And probably Joel.

In her recent Instagram caption, she wrote: “It’s phuck all y’all season.” I’m interpreting that as ‘ forget everyone else and focus on me.’ Or as she once said, “Sweep the basics away.” Gladly.

Rihanna keeps everyone well fed. Metaphorically speaking. There’s nothing she can’t do, her Fenty presence dominating music, beauty, fashion, film, charity, and rumour has it skincare and alcohol soon, too. She gets it.

The secret CFDA Fashion Icon Awarded Bad Gal – is in all of us. Get the lewk right and the rest comes later. Put on the spikiest stilettos because, as she famously said: “It’s not about pain, it’s about commitment… worry about the pain later.” Wise words. For the weak, sneakers are acceptable, but only if they’re Fenty Puma. Obvs.

Slap on anything oversized, puffa style this season, and carry a glass of wine in one hand whilst swaggering down the street. Switch it up for a jewelled flask at events (2017 Grammys – look it up).

It’s important to note here that this week Miss Rihanna previewed the new Fenty Beauty Body Lava luminizer – the key to that sought after glow. She makes it easy.

And we always knew she was a savage boss bitch throwing shade. To quote that iconic tweet to MTV in 2012: “Yikes… Rihanna ran out of fucks to give,” or a personal favourite: “When there’s no changing the fact that I’m me, and they’re, well… them.” Inspirational.

Speaking of, try to make it into Harvard. Rihanna did, winning the Humanitarian Award for her self-established Clara Lionel Foundation. We expected nothing less. Could go all day.

She is the only girl in my world. Like that viral tweet Justin Bieber once penned: “So blessed. So moved. So grateful. Can’t believe this is my life. Never going to take it for granted. Always going to give back. Thank you.” My thoughts exactly. So Pour It Up. Get Drunk (On Love). Do Ya Thang. Wear some Red Lipstick. Go Hard. Cheers to the freakin’ weekend. Thank god for Rihanna.
