The Woolmark Prize Announce Matthew Miller And Le Kilt As British Isle Winners

More TYTs (Talented Young Things) winning prizes: Matthew Miller and Le Kilt were today announced as the respective men’s and womenswear winners of the International Woolmark Prize British Isles regional finals. Round of applause from Ten HQ. For the top spot, Matthew Miller gave a modern take on tailoring with a double-breasted tux made from Merino wool, paired with an overcoat with a Merino lining and a waterproof shell made from…yup, wool. It is the Woolmark prize, after all. Samantha McCoach of Le Kilt, came up with a wool denim look (very into) in which she paired elements of a modern uniform with her Scottish heritage (see above pictures). As well as a juicy cash prize, both winners will receive mentoring support over the course of the next six months when they will be designing capsule collections in Merino wool to be presented at a fancy Woolmark event next year. Needless to say, we can’t wait to see what they come up with.
