Watch: Exclusive Video Release of the New Chanel 19 Bag

Believe us when we say that we’d be smiling like Cheshire cats if we got our hands on the new Chanel 19 Bag. It’s like the younger sister of the iconic 2.55 bag with the same classic shape, but this new bag has more carefree attitude. It comes in an oversized version of Chanel’s signature diamond quilting which give it a pleasing a squish factor alongside its playful, pumped-up, chunky logo clasp and hardware. It oozes the kind of carefree, youthful nonchalance that feels oh so French and which Virginie Viard is making a central pillar of her Chanel era. To go with the new bag is a new campaign which perfectly captures the spirit of the Chanel 19, shot by Roman and Sofia Coppola.

“The mood of this campaign feels very buoyant, open, and friendly. It makes you want to smile.” says Taylor Russell, who stars alongside fellow actresses, Margaret Qualley (Andie MacDowell’s gorgeous look-alike daughter) and Marine Vacth. “I’m in awe of Virginie. She is incredible. I feel like the best version of myself when I’m wearing her designs,” says Qualley, who performed a glorious visual “Whoop!” in the campaign when she swings her bag in a joyful 360-degree arc.
