Giorgio Armani Privé: Couture SS20

Giorgio Armani describes the design process and creation of each SS20 Armani Privé couture piece as “a gesture of joy” – couture and its endless possibilities providing the ultimate Marie Kondo wardrobe moment. What you feel is the energy. Couture at this level doesn’t just happen. It is manifested. These are clothes born, out of love, determination and dedication. The client wants her ultimate fantasy made real, the designer wants to deliver something crafted to the highest standard of elegance and beauty. The intentions are good. Couture is the craft of making dreams come true. It’s a happy place.

Mr Armani understands that better than anyone. Perfection is his happy place and this season he shared the love with a joyful collection full of colour and movement. Bodices shimmied with luscious beaded fringes and vivid embroideries burst across transparent fabrics. Peacock green, cornflower blue, fuchsia combined with ikat embroideries for a vivid, free-spirited look. This was Armani unleashed.
