Jeremy Scott: Ready-to-wear SS16
Eighties Lower East Side babes, John Waters movies, Russ Meyer glamazons and Star Trek. Those were the references Jeremy Scott spat out after a show of retro-futuristic pop-art, chewed up fifties kitsch recycled through legendary club Jackie 60. It was all very B-52s, all those towering beehives and slinky Technicolor separates, acid-bright knits, inset perspex and plastic panels. In fact, maybe The B-52s were too tasteful and well-behaved. How about Dee-lite, or even the drag performer extraordinaire Lady Bunny? She’d kill for the wiggage.
