Margaret Howell: Ready-to-wear SS16

There’s something to be said for knowing what you’re good at, sticking at it and doing it well. It’s confidence. And Margaret Howell it has to be said is very good at what she does. A relaxed, slightly slouchy tom boy way of dressing with a certain je ne sais quoi. This time the delicate sense of French she usually incorporates into her collections moved from the country side to the city. There was something a little relaxed Parisienne about the whole affair. Yes the hallmarks were all there, the loose trouser with a pocket you can actually put a hand in, the little silk scarves tied around necks, the perfect shirting, but shot through with a more vivid palette of deep blacks, crimson reds and crisp clean whites.
